The contrast of innocence and longing-for instance, wanting a toy and not being able to afford it-adds depth and nostalgia to his work. His art is essentially a rendition of that carefree yet sometimes bitter period of life.

Having lived through half a century, ACYC now gleans his inspirations by traveling the world and painting it through the eyes of innocence.
